David Ward learned the art of bespoke tailoring on the world famous Savile Row, and throughout his career he has worked and trained with some of the most influential and respected individuals within the yardage of this incredible street. While studying for a degree in Fashion Design, at the renowned Ravensbourne school of Art and Design in London, David made his very first excursion on to Savile Row as the "tea boy" at Norton & Sons, then owned by the Granger family and "Guvnor" John Granger.

Submersed into a world of exquisite craftsmanship and expertise, David was exposed to the most minuscule of amendments and the finest attention to detail to create the world’s best suits. After completing his degree, he became an apprentice cutter for Timothy Everest, and quickly made a mark for himself as the house undercutter. He was soon snapped up by Henry Poole & Co where his career would start to blossom and his talent, sharpened.

From there, his career will testify to being headhunted by the most prominent houses on Savile Row, that include, Norton & Sons and Huntsman and Hardy Aimes. Reading like a fairy tale, David's hard work and diligence would see him return to Norton & Sons some 20 years later as the head cutter to run the house. With his awareness for modern aesthetic and the need to retain traditional values, David is in a position that is unrivalled throughout the industry, an individual who can mix tradition with modernity and communicate it through the conduit of exceptional cutting and detail.

David has also consulted at the London college of fashion as the external examiner for the degree course in bespoke tailoring. His input helped the course tutors implement ideas to nurture the reputation of the degree to become one of the most prominent courses in the United Kingdom that teaches bespoke tailoring and cutting.
